Mesa Baseball Earns #1 Seed for Region I / ACCAC DII Tournament

With the final outs of the regular season being made, the seedings for the 2019 Region I / ACCAC DII tournament have been aligned.  With the Mesa Thunderbirds winning on Saturday and the Gateway Geckos and Scottsdale Artichokes both losing Saturday, Mesa finishes with 19 conference wins and have earned the #1 seed.

The #2 and #3 seeds will be the Geckos and Artichokes with the Glendale Gauchos earning the #4 seed.

Playoffs will begin Thursday, Friday and Saturday (if necessary), May 2nd, 3rd and 4th (if necessary) with all games being played at the highest seed. Games begin at 3 pm on both Thursday and Friday and at noon on Saturday.  It's a best of three series and a single elimination tournament.

The championship round will be the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday (if necessary), May 10th, 11th and 12th (if necessary) at the highest remaining seed.

Thursday, May 2nd- #4 Glendale @ #1 Mesa - 3 pm

Friday, May 3rd - #4 Glendale @ #1 Mesa - 3 pm

Saturday, May 4th (if necessary) - #4 Glendale @ #1 Mesa - Noon

All playoff games will charge admission of $5 a person.  No passes or pass lists will be allowed during tournament time.  All games will be live streamed with a link to games being provided closer to game times.
