#18 Mesa Baseball Earns Two Game Sweep of Coyotes with 11-6 Win Wednesday Afternoon
Gilbert, AZ - The #18 Mesa Thunderbirds recorded its first series sweep of the season as they defeated the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes and Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-0 and 11-6.
Connor Denning came up just a homerun shy of the cycle as he hit for a single in the first, a double in the third and a triple in the sixth and went 3-5 on the day. The T-Birds on the day recorded a dozen hits.
Mesa moves to 16-8 overall and 5-7 in conference play. The T-Birds will play two with Paradise Valley this weekend as Mesa hosts the Pumas on Friday afternoon at 3 pm then play at PV on Saturday, beginning at noon.
