Pumas Quiet Mesa Bats, T-Birds Fall, 4-0

Mesa, AZ - The #11 Mesa Thunderbirds lost Saturday afternoon to the Paradise Valley Pumas, 4-0, at Mesa Community College.

From a loud hitting performance in Friday afternoons victory at Paradise Valley, Mesa just could not manufacture any kind of the same noise in Saturday's loss.  The only threat the T-Birds had was in the first inning with the bases loaded and no outs.  But a line out double-play and a ground out ended sort of Mesa threat.

Mesa moves to 38-14 overall on the season and 22-14 in the ACCAC.  The T-Birds still maintain a two game advantage as the top DII appove Paradise Valley in the ACCAC DII playoff chase with just four games left to play for each team.  The T-Birds will play at home on Tuesday against Scottsdale at 3 pm then at Scottsdale on Wednesday at 3 pm.  They will finish the regular season with the PC Bears, first at home on Friday at 3 pm then at PC on Saturday for a noon start.
