The Mesa Thunderbirds baseball squad swept a two game series with the Phoenix College Bears Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, helping the T-Birds improve to a 19-3 record.
Mesa had to come from behind on Tuesday as they were down 8-2 in the sixth inning. A six run inning helped the T-Birds rally back and win 9-8. On Wednesday, the T-Birds scored a 3-2.
Chandler-Gilbert will now come back to Mesa to complete the game that was rained out on February 14th. The T-Birds and Coyotes will play Thursday afternoon at 3 pm, starting back up in the top of third inning with the score 0-0.
