Crockett Steals 4 Bases to Aid #5 Mesa's 7-4 Win Over Grand Canyon Club

Mesa, AZ - Jared Crockett made it look more like a track meet instead of a baseball game Thursday afternoon as he stole four bases to help #5 Mesa beat Grand Canyon Club team, 7-4.

With the win, the T-Birds now have a three game winning streak, while winning 13 of their last 16 games.

To go along with his four steals, Crockett had a couple hits and scored a run.  Esteban Martinez had two hits as well, scoring two runs while also drawing two base-on-balls.

Cameron Cruz started the scoring early for the T-Birds, cranking a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning.

The T-Bird pitching staff only allowed two hits on the afternoon, with Nick Ohanian recorded his first save of the 2017 season.

Mesa will be back in conference play on Saturday when they travel to Yavapai for a double-header against the Roughriders, first pitch at noon.
