San Jose State Hires former T-Bird, Damon Lessler, as Baseball Assistant Coach

San Jose State has announced the hire of Damon Lessler as an assistant coach, former Mesa Thunderbird baseball player.

"Damon Lessler is an Old School student of the game. He brought great energy and drive to the ballpark everyday as a player and now as a coach. He has been successful at every coaching stop he has made. No doubt he will have a great impact on the San Jose program. He is a true T-Bird," said Head Mesa Baseball Coach Tony Cirelli.

After Lessler played at MCC, he transfered to Sonoma State and Missippi Valley State.  Lessler then played overseas in Germany, Sweden and Australia as an imported American baseball player.
