Mesa, AZ- Gateway evened the Regional Chmapionship Series with the Mesa Thunderbirds at one game apiece with a 5-2 victory Friday afternoon at Mesa CC.
Gateway took an early lead at 3-0 but the T-Birds did battle back to get within one run at 3-2. But that was as close as Mesa would get as the Geckos would tack on two more runs.
With the series tied, the third and final deciding game of the Regional Series will be tomorrow at Mesa at noon. The winner will of the series will head to Enid, OK for the Junior College World Series.
