Mesa, AZ- Mesa finished off a strong week with four impressive wins over ACCAC DII opponents, including today's victory over Paradise Valley, 13-7.
The T-Birds were led by Jacob Boston and Kody Funderburk, who both hit homeruns for Mesa. Boston was a single shy of a cycle as he knocked in four runs on a three hit day.
Funderburk led both at the plate and on the mound as he started the game on the hill, pitching five innings, allowing nine hits with five strikeouts. Funderburk also went 1-3 with a sac fly and a monster homerun to start off the seventh inning.
Andrew Apodaca also collected three hits for the T-Birds in their 36th victory of the season. Mesa is 22-14 in the ACCAC and finish off the regular season next week with two games against Scottsdale on Tuesday and Wednesday then the final series against Phoenix College Friday and Saturday.
