Baseball Stumbles At South Mountain, 9-5

Phoenix, AZ- Mesa dropped an important ACCAC matchup Tuesday afternoon against South Mountain, 9-5.

South Mountain put a five spot up in the first two innings against Mesa starting pitcher, Michael Warning.  The T-Birds did answer back in the third inning with a five run inning but Warning continued his troubles into the fifth inning where the Cougars pushed across three more runs.

South Mountain added one more run in the seventh inning to finalize the 9-5 score.

Mesa is now 30-13 overall and 16-12 in the ACCAC.  Mesa and South Mountain play another game tomorrow, this time at Mesa at 3 p.m.  It is a very important game for both squads as they are both vying for a ACCAC DII playoff spot with 11 games to play in the season, all against ACCAC teams.
