Mesa's Michael Warning Fans 8, T-Birds Win 14-4 Over ACU JV

Mesa, AZ - In the second game against Arizona Christian University JV in as many days, Mesa used strong pitching and a baker's dozen worth of hits to upend the Firestorm, 14-4.

Michael Warning started on the hill for Mesa, going six innings. allowing five hits, striking out eight while allowing two walks.  Warning struck out the final batter in five of the six innings he pitched, while stiking out four batters looking.

Esteban Martinez and Andrew Apodaca each went 3-4, Martinez knocking in four while scoring three times himself while Apodaca had two RBI's and a solo dinger in the third inning.

Mesa was aggressive on the basepaths as they were 11-11 on stolen bases.

The T-Birds are now 29-11 overall.  They will be back in action against ACCAC opponent Yavapi on Saturday for a double-header at Mesa.
