Mesa, AZ- For the first time all season, Mesa dropped two straight games, both loses coming against Cochise College in a double-header Saturday afternoon at Mesa, 11-0(5), 9-6.
In game one, Cochise used a nine run fourth inning to put away any chance for Mesa to come back.
The T-Birds only managed one hit, a single by Mike Roberson.
In game two Mesa, Matt Ayala went 3-5 with three RBI's. Down 9-3 in the ninth, Mesa tried to rally back, scoring three runs but that's all they could manage.
Mesa is now 23-5 overall and 13-4 in the conference. The T-Birds will be back at home on Monday against Dakota County Technical College at noon.
