Chandler, AZ- The T-Birds dropped their second conference game of the season with an 14-8 loss at Chandler-Gilbert.
Chase Merriman had a rough outing, only going 1.1 innings, giving up three hits, six runs, five of which were earned.
Mesa pushed across six of their eight runs in the eighth and ninth innings but that wasn't enough.
The T-Birds are 21-3 overall, 12-2 in the conference. Mesa will be home on Friday against Western New Mexico at 3 p.m. then at home again on Saturday for a double-header against Cochise.
