Baseball Suspended Due to Light in the 10th, Tied at 5

Mesa, AZ- Mesa and Gateway's game was suspended Friday due to lack of light.  The game was tied at five at the end of the tenth inning when the game was called.

Down 1-0, Mesa scored two runs in the second inning when Hunter Bross singled to center field, scoring Jacob Boston and Drew Bailey.

In the bottom of the third, with Jarred Crockett on second, Mitchell Morimoto crushed a 400 foot homer to right center field to give Mesa a 4-1 lead.  

The T-Birds again scored in the bottom of the seventh when Boston blooped a single to right field, scoring Crockett from second.

But the T-Birds allowed three runs in the  eighth inning, tying the game at 5.

The game was suspended after the tenth inning due to light.  The game will resume the next time Gateway plays at Mesa.
