The NATYCAA Cup Standings

MESA, AZ - The Mesa athletic program has once again produced an outstanding result in the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup which measures the overall excellence of NJCAA member programs.

Mesa placed 19th for the 2014-15 year among the more than 400 members in the NJCAA Scholarship Division (Divisions I and II combined).

The Cup uses a ranking system generated by finishes in NJCAA national championship competition to attain its rankings. National champion teams receive 20 points, second place teams 19 and so on through 20th place which receives one point.

MCC collected 68.5 points to once again attain a high ranking. The T-Birds won the cup in 2005-06 and have never finished lower than 21st.

The two top contributing teams for Mesa this year were women's golf, which placed third at the NJCAA Division I championship, which it hosted, and the men's tennis team which tied for fourth at nationals.
