Baseball pounds Grand Canyon University Club Team, 24-0

  MESA, AZ - Scoring at least one run in every inning, the Mesa baseball team put up its biggest offensive outburst of the season in a 24-0 win over the Grand Canyon University Club Team Wednesday.

  The T-Birds recorded 25 hits in the seven-inning contest, with Hunter Robson (Fr., Chandler, AZ/Hamilton H.S.) going 5-6 with six RBIs.

  MCC got things going quickly with a three-run first. After adding one more in the second inning the T-Birds broke the game open with a ten-run third inning.

  James Anderson (So., Henderson, Nev/Coronado H.S.) also collected six RBIs going 3-4. Mitchell Morimoto (Fr., Issaquah, Wash/Issaquah H.S.) and Drew Lawrence (Fr., Anthem, AZ/Boulder Creek H.S.) each also had three hits.

  The T-Birds will travel to Prescott, AZ, Saturday for an ACCAC doubleheader beginning at noon.
