  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - The Mesa baseball team is ranked No. 2 in the nation in the first weekly NJCAA poll, released Wednesday.

  The T-Birds (23-5 at the time of the poll) ironically trail Hinds (Miss.), the team they defeated for last year's national title. Hinds is 15-1.

  Mesa currently sits in first place in the ACCAC with a 16-4 conference mark. It will host Madison (Wisc.) in a single game Thursday at 3:00 p.m. That game will be available live on T-Bird Sports live at the link above.
