Beach volleyball takes 6th place at 2023 NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship.

The MCC beach volleyball team ended day three of the 2023 NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship by taking 6th place overall.

To start the day the Lady T-Birds took a 3-0 victory over Bryant & Stratton College (VA) in the consolation bracket. They would then go on to lose to Richard Bland College, 3-2 in the consolation bracket championship. 

Over the three days MCC went 3-3 as they finished their overall season with a 13-9 mark. Fellow ACCAC competitor South Mountain Community College took 4th place overall.

 

Bryant & Stratton College (VA) - 0  / Mesa Community College - 3

No. 1 pair Karla Ramirez and Abby Wermuth won in three sets  21-14, 21-17, 16-14.

No. 3 pair Abby Platt and Annie Hansen won in two sets 21-12, 21-10.

No. 5 pair Cassidy Wakefield and Braylin Palmer won in three sets 21-11, 21-18, 15-10.

 

Richard Bland - 3 / Mesa Community College - 2

No. 1 pair Karla Ramirez and Abby Wermuth lost in three sets  15-21, 21-7, 15-5.

No. 2 pair Jessica Goldsmith and Maci Lopeman lost in three sets 21-14, 18-21, 15-4.

No. 3 pair Abby Platt and Annie Hansen won in three sets 9-21, 21-10, 12-15.

No. 4 pair Sadie Montague and Jordan Ebner lost in two sets 21-17, 21-16.

No. 5 pair Cassidy Wakefield and Braylin Palmer won in two sets 13-21, 15-21.
