Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah (October 6, 2018) -- The ninth-ranked Snow College football team jumped out to a 21-0 lead early in the first half en route to a 42-point victory over Mesa Community College on Saturday. With the 63-21 victory, the Badgers improved to 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in WSFL action.
The Snow offense racked up 594 yards of total offense, including 371 yards rushing and 223 yards passing. Running back
Jaylen Warren was credited with a game-high 147 yards rushing on 18 carries, averaging 8.2 yards per carry.
Weston Barlow added 99 yards on the ground on just 6 attempts. Quarterback
Braxton Kerr completed 11-of-26 attempts for 192 yards passing and two touchdown completions. Keashawn McCoy led all receivers with 81 yards on two receptions, including a 61-yard reception.
Defensively, the Badgers were credited with seven tackles for a combined loss of 22 yards. The defense also picked up three fumbles and four interceptions along with seven pass break-ups. Kaahi Neves and
Parker Workman led the defense with five tackles each. Neves was also credited with three tackles for a loss, including two sacks on the night.
Through six games this season, the Badgers are averaging over 59 points per game, and allowing just 23.5 points per game.
Now 3-1 in league play, the Badgers are a game behind both Eastern Arizona and Pima in the WSFL standings. Snow College will now take to the road for back-to-back games in Arizona. On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Badgers will travel to Glendale, Ariz., and then on Oct. 27, following a bye week, the team will take on Arizona Western in Yuma, Ariz.
