South Plains fell to Mesa Community College 88-73 Friday night at the Texan Dome.

The Texans' Roberto Gallinat led all scorers with 21 points, followed by Che Bob who racked up 19 points and nine rebounds for SPC.

Mesa's Obi Megwa scored 18 for the thunderbirds, while Nate Jimerson and Mitch Burnett each had 11.

Mesa shot over 62% from the field in the second half, including going 5-8 from three. South Plains was unable to find their stroke over the last 20 minutes, shooting just 39% in the final frame.

SPC will look to bounce back on Saturday as the square off with Coastal Bend College at 12 p.m. at the Texan Dome.
