The Monsters secured wins in both Game 1 and Game 2 with strong pitching performances against Mesa on Tuesday, March 5. Ben Staiger threw a complete game in the opener, while Jacob Marshall pitched six scoreless innings in Game 2.
Offensively, the team had a solid showing with every hitter recording at least two hits. Eight of the nine hitters scored a run or drove in a run, demonstrating a balanced contribution throughout the lineup. Overall, it was a successful day for the Monsters on the field.
Looking ahead the baseball team returns home to host Glendale on Saturday, March 9 starting at noon.
