The Pima Community College football team dropped its final game of the 2014 season on Saturday in the Consolation Bracket final round in Mesa.
The No. 8 seeded Aztecs fell against No. 6 seeded Mesa Community College 34-17. Pima finishes in sixth place in the WSFL final tournament standings.
Max Shepherd (Sunrise Mountain HS) had a 100-yard interception return in the game. Ben Gardner (Camelback HS) scored on a two-yard touchdown run and Tanner Fanning (Sahuarita HS) hit a field goal.
The Aztecs defeated No. 9 Phoenix College and No. 5 Eastern Arizona College in the consolation bracket playoffs. They close out the season with a 3-8 overall record.
