Aztecs Men's Basketball standout Dillan Baker named ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College men's basketball player Dillan Baker (Salpointe Catholic HS) helped the Aztecs stay undefeated and was rewarded by the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

  • Baker, a sophomore guard, was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3.
  • The Aztecs went 2-0 with win over Glendale Community College and a non-conference victory against GCU Club. Baker averaged 20.0 points and went 15 for 27 (.555) from the field, hit five 3-pointers and was a flawless 5 for 5 from the free throw line.
  • He has played and started in all seven games so far this season averaging 17.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He is also shooting 45.8 percent from three-point range.
  • The Aztecs are 7-0 and jumped into the NJCAA Division II National Rankings for the first time as they sit at No. 15.

The Aztecs will get back to ACCAC conference play on Saturday at Mesa Community College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
