Bio

Wayne Block is a 45-year veteran of college athletics and is in his tenth year at MCC.

He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) National Hall of Fame, as well as the hall of fame at Christopher Newport University, the school from which he retired in 2010 after serving 27 years as SID, as well at the USA South Athletic Conference.

He began his career as a sports writer for the Albany (N.Y.) Times Union and subsequently served as SID at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and C.W. Post College. He then served as the first full-time assistant SID at Virginia Tech for four years.

His publications have won 89 CoSIDA publication awards.
