Dr. Mike Medchill

Wrestling at 145 pounds, Mike Medchill was 1969 national champion in his weight class, was undefeated in junior college competition, and had an overall record of 68 and 9 in his two years at Mesa. He was team Captain, an Academic All-American, and was listed in the 1969 edition of "Who's Who in American Junior Colleges." In 1999, he was inducted into the NJCAA Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame.

Mike had been a Wisconsin State High School Wrestling Champion for three years where his record was an amazing 110 wins and no defeats. It shouldn't surprise you that he is a Charter Member of the Mineral Point High School Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Mike went on to Mankato State University in Minnesota where he was a two-time NCAA All-American. During his entire high school and college wrestling career, he won 220 out of 240 matches.

Mike received his Master's in Microbiology at Mankato State and his M.D. at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has been on the medical staffs of hospitals in Wisconsin and Arizona. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph's Hospital. Phoenix Magazine has included him on its annual list of top physicians in the area.
